What inspired the City Lights design?

Kyle responds: I created the Cityscape design to suggest many famous landmarks without placing the image as any one particular city. The interplay of interesting forms and angles keeps the eye moving throughout the image. The buildings - perhaps office towers with multiple floors, skyscrapers with distinctive architectural features, downtown hotels, squat federal buildings, a glass shopping center, a domed edifice, a bridge - reference the many types of structures found in cities anywhere in the world. In my travels to many dense population centers in Asia (Tokyo, Osaka, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing) and the U.S. (New York, Boston, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, San Francisco), I was always moved by the patterns and shadows these towering shapes create on the urban landscape.
