What motivated Kyle to create an Antique Art Deco design?
As an artist and art patron, Kyle regularly attends local art shows for inspiration. Many of Kyle's architectural designs are influenced by a variety of art movements, included the Art Deco era. The Art Deco movement originated in Paris in the 1930s and continued to flourish during the 1930s. This antique design is Kyle's interpretation of early Art Deco concepts and pays homage to the movement's influential and classic qualities.

What is this design modeled after?
When creating this antique Art Deco design Kyle was mainly influenced by the beautiful Art Deco spire of the Chrysler Building in New York. It is also reminiscent of the breathtaking Terracotta sunburst design above the doors in the Eastern Columbia Building in Los Angeles. The asymmetrical curves and linear symmetry of this design call upon the antique characteristics of Art Deco jewelry, architecture and artwork.

What does Antique Art Deco symbolize?
To Kyle, Antique Art Deco is the epitome of old Hollywood glamor, elegance and modernity. This is why she wanted to create a piece of art paying homage to its beauty. Unlike other artistic movements, Art Deco had no political agenda and was strictly decorative, allowing it to dominate all areas of design including interior design, architectural design and graphic design.
