What inspired the Awards Statuette design?

Kyle says: "My husband was on swim teams throughout high school and college, acquiring a closet shelf full of bulky trophies. We really needed the space, so we had to toss them but it seems like such a waste. It struck me that perhaps other winners might prefer a little variety in their awards, perhaps a memento that could be used or displayed in a different way. So my idea was to create a trophy alternative that still acknowledges the accomplishment but that can be enjoyed more fully. The slightly retro design itself features a strong man grasping a star while standing on a platform stage surrounded by beams of light."
