What is this design modeled after?
When creating this antique Art Deco design Kyle was mainly influenced by the beautiful Art Deco spire of the Chrysler Building in New York. It is also reminiscent of the breathtaking Terracotta sunburst design above the doors in the Eastern Columbia Building in Los Angeles. The asymmetrical curves and linear symmetry of this design call upon the antique characteristics of Art Deco jewelry, architecture and artwork.

What are the main characteristics of Antique Art Deco designs?
When designing her Antique Art Deco piece, Kyle kept in mind the thin forms, geometric patterns and curves which are representative of this era. These designs are comparable to Egyptian motifs which many believe were influenced by the discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb in 1922. Antique Art Deco is a very sleek style which influenced the era's buildings, graphics, arts and jewelry.
