Kyle says: "I have a family history of sewing. My mother's great aunt Clara was a clothing designer and seamstress with a wedding dress shop on 7th Avenue in New York City in the late 1940s. She made beautiful wedding gowns and as well as the trousseaus worn by new brides on their honeymoon. My mother made all my clothes for me as a child and in turn taught me. I started out making simple clothes for my teddy bear when I was very young, and now I make elaborate Halloween costumes for my daughters. My girlfriend made my daughters prom dress for us at a pretty good price. It turned out beautifully. I wanted to get her a token of my appreciation. My mom loves to sew outfits for her grandkids. Got her this tape measurer as a thank you. Engraved it with Nana, and the initials of all her grandkids. She says she loves to take it with her to the fabric store. Nice and small, easy to keep in her purse. About the size of a box of matchsticks. Seems durable too, no problems with the tape sticking.
