Low Voltage Wall Plate Specs

Several types of low voltage wiring systems were installed in U.S. homes in the second half of the twentieth century. Please check dimensions and spacing carefully to ensure you have ordered the correct cover plates.

• Bracket Mount: This wallplate cover requires a bracket for mounting. Switch clips into a strap mounted behind wall plate (not included) with .756" x 1.187" openings as demonstated in the photo at lower left. Purchase Two Gang Low Voltage Switch Mounting Brackets separately. We guarantee these faceplates fit our GE RS2 series switches.

• Matching switch plate screws included. Screw holes are 2.37" apart, center to center.
• Device Opening: Vertically oriented low volt wall plate hole has one .756" wide by 1.187" tall device opening. Devices mount in bracket behind switch plate (devices and brackets not included) which is then mounted to electrical box. Wallplate mounts to bracket.
