Older Style GE RCS Low Voltage Wall Switch Plates for 3 Switches

The special-sized one large rectangular opening on these spec. grade wall cover plates is designed for three low voltage rocker switches mounted in a horizontal low voltage light switchplate.

• Size: This hard-to-find spec. grade wall plate is 4.5" high by 2.75" wide, device opening 1.25" wide by 2.656" high, with screw holes spaced 3-13/16" apart center to center. Screws included.
• These older type low voltage switch plate were typically mounted horizontally (east-west layout) with the switches stacked side by side in a bracket.
• Replaces missing or broken wall plates for General Electrics's line of RCS switches and pilot lights from the 1970's. Switches were mounted in a metal frame behind the switchplate. (Frames are discontinued with no replacements.) May also work with particular brands of electrical setups for off-grid RVs, houses, or boats.

Several types of low voltage systems were installed in U.S. homes in the second half of the twentieth century that use a low voltage transformer to convert the electrical power supply to lower voltages. • Important!: This is NOT a Decora GFI Rocker plate used in modern homes. This is a specialty size for low voltage systems only. How do you tell the difference? The corners on this plate are sharp right angles unlike true Decora plates which have radial (rounded) corners. Size of opening is slightly different as well (Decora opening is slightly wider and shorter at 1.312" W x 2.625" H).
