Low voltage Wall Plate Specs

Several types of low voltage systems were installed in U.S. homes in the second half of the twentieth century. Please check dimensions and spacing carefully to ensure you have ordered the correct cover plates.

• Screws: Matching switch plate screws included. Screw holes are 3.812" apart, center to center.
• Device Openings: Old style low volt wall plate holes are 1.093" W x .656" H. Holes are 1.0" apart center to center. Sample photo show old discontinued style GE RS6 light switch back mounted in a cover with a single horizontally oriented switch opening. Important: Switch plate must be mounted into screws holes on existing strap.
