No, this plate will not work with original low voltage devices. If you are keeping the original devices and just replacing the cover plates you need this plate: Original One Device Low Voltage Plate. Does it matter which direction I install these low voltage switch plates? Right now my cover plate is stalled in an east-west layout and my switches rock up and down. As long as your electrical boxes are situated to match the orientation of your original layout with mounting screws holes at the sides instead of the top and bottom, these can be installed to match your current look. The new low voltage switches don't rock, but rather push on and off (buttons are marked on the side of the switches), so they will work essentially the same way. Ships in 1 - 2 business days.
