We are remodeling our kitchen and installing a slab counter top. Will the included screws be long enough to install the plates on this raised surface?
Longer screws are often needed in these applications because the electrical box is mounted behind the deep material and the receptacle is in front of it. The standard screw length for rocker and Despard plates is 1/4" screws, all other plates (toggle, duplex outlet, cable, blank, etc.) have a standard screw length 1/2" . Take a quick look at your setup or check with the installer to confirm. We do have extra long screws available for just such installation situations if you should need them.
