The yin yang symbol (also known as the Ta Ki) is composed of two identical shapes held snugly inside of a circle. An S-shaped division line cuts through the circle and forms the two shapes of yin - representing the female, Moon and coldness - and yang, which symbolizes the Sun, male and heat. Inside each shape is a small dot or bindhu that borrows the color from the opposing shape, so neither shape is truly black nor white. As a whole, the yin yang symbol represents how the two opposing forces interact and enforces the idea that one cannot exist without the other. The somewhat hypnotic shapes of yin and yang signify constant change and symbolize the flow or balance of energy from yin to yang and vice versa. Ships in 1 - 2 business days. Flat rate ground.
