General Electric White and Black Raiser Lower Low Voltage Rocker Switches
Replacement 3 amp 24 volt A.C. white low voltage switch with red arrows on buttons. Used to raise or lower devices used in low voltage lighting systems common in homes built in the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s.
These specialty devices are replacements for switches used in low voltage electrical systems for mid century homes.
RS Series Momentary Switches: Manual override switches are momentary, single pole, double throw devices wired to the relay using standard Class 2 control wiring. The RS2 series switches are designed for installation in mounting straps, or in snap-in mounting in control panels or switch plates.
Snap In: Device snaps into front of wall plate (not included) with a .76" x 1.278" opening as demonstated in the photo at left. Does not require mounting bracket. Purchase Snap In Low Voltage Switch Plates separately. We guarantee these devices fit into our switchplates in the link.
Features: Red arrow raise lower switches used for garage door openers, blinds or other applications. For fast, trouble-free wiring, each switch is supplied with five 0.187" quick disconnect terminals.
Bracket Mount: Switch clips into a strap mounted behind wall plate (not included) with .756" x 1.187" openings as demonstated in the photo at lower left. Requires a mounting bracket. Purchase Low Voltage Bracket Mount Wall Switch Plates and Low Voltage Switch Bracket Mounting Brackets separately. We guarantee these devices fit into our "Bracket Mount" switchplates in the link.
Model Update: This RS2 series switch is the current replacement switch in GE low voltage wiring systems for the discontinued RFS-6 series switches and cover plates. Note that the size of this switch is slightly larger and deeper than original devices and therefore requires a switch plate with a slightly larger opening. These switches will fit into the GE RP2 series faceplates if used with brackets for mounting switches. A thin black bezel will show around the edges of the openings. If you have any questions, please get exact opening measurements first as many holes are very close in size.
