What inspired the Awards Statuette design?

Kyle says: "My husband swam when he was younger and ended up with a closet full of trophies, all heavy and bulky. His parents asked him to come home and take them away, but we have no room for them. It struck me that perhaps other winners might prefer a little variety in their awards, perhaps a memento that could be used or displayed in a different way. So my idea was to create a trophy alternative that still acknowledges the accomplishment but that can be enjoyed more fully. The slightly retro design itself features a strong man grasping a star while standing on a platform stage surrounded by beams of light."
