Selecting Administrative Professional Gifts - Guide to Choosing An Appropriate Gift
Administrative Professionals Week is April 18-24, 2010
National Professional Secretaries Week and National Secretary's Day were created in 1952 to recognize the importance and value of the position to a company or business. In 2000 the name was changed to Administrative Professionals Week.
The original goal was to encourage more women to become secretaries as in earlier days these positions were the realm of women. Today, the job encompasses much more responsibility, specialized knowledge and skill, and you find more men in these jobs.
While flowers and a lunch are the traditional recognition gifts, here are some more lasting thank yous that won't irritate allergies or play havoc with a diet:
- A unique business card case designed to reflect the company or a special interest.
- A stylish card holder for the desktop.
- A jewelry-like beaded lanyard is an attractive way to carry an ID name badge.
- Create an attractive gift set with a stamp box and matching letter opener.
- Engravable bookmarks are an affordable way to send a message of praise.
- A designer tasseled ruler is a fun way to add color to routine projects.
- A customized set of desk accessories can add a bit of style to an office.
However you decide to do it, please remember to recognize and appreciate a job well done. For more unique gift ideas please visit
