Traditionally, Art Nouveau is characterized by contorting plant forms and an aversion to historicism. The flowing curves and organic shapes found in this design are the result of research about the era and Kyle's desire to stay true to its essence.

Which artists influenced Kyle when creating this Art Nouveau design?
Much like many others who are interested in the Art Nouveau movement, Kyle was mainly influenced by the Czech artist, Alphonse Mucha. Originally, the Art Nouveau movement was inspired by the artist William Morris, whose theories founded the Arts and Crafts movement. This design was based on shapes found in the natural world and organic motifs which Kyle first learned from studying Japanese wood block prints.
