Replacement Knobs for Rotary Light Dimming Devices

• All knobs 1.5" diameter, .5" deep.
• Leviton buttons have a "D" shaped white plastic stem with a 7/32" diameter. Back has two wings in straight alignment, which creates a "D" shaped opening for dimmer stem in the wall.
• Lutron devices also have a 7/32" round white plastic stem but with slit bisecting the end. The plastic surrounding the stem is in a "C" shaped opening on back.
• GE dimming devices have a 3/16" round metal stem which is also slit bisecting the end. These older GE dimmer switches push in to turn lights on, then rotate to dim. This is a discontinued brand found in older homes. Old style dimmer knob has a circular opening on back with tiny ridges inside that tend to strip over time. These current replacement knobs are designed to be longer-lasting. There is a circular opening on the back with two "wings" protruding into the middle area situated at right angles to each other. One wing fits into the slot while the other puts pressure on the outside of the stem holding it in place.
• Leviton knobs no longer have the pale discs in the center (as shown on some knobs in the photo.)
• Knobs is all stem types in dark Bronze, satin silver, brass, antique brass, bronze, copper, gray, chrome, brown, red, black, and chestnut brown finishes are spray painted.

• Antique brass knob finish works best with antique brass switchplates.
• Polished brass knob works best with polished brass and satin brushed brass wallplate covers.
• Chestnut brown knobs are a reddish mahogany brown and work best with warm tone brown switchplates.
• Brown or dark brown knobs work best with brown wallplates. Note: All Dark Brown knobs have silver disc in center.
• Bronze knob looks best with oil rubbed (oiled) bronze wallplates.
• Dark bronze knobs works best with dark bronze cover plates.
• Satin silver dimmers works best with brushed stainless steel and satin aluminum coverplates.
• Chrome rotary dimming knobs works best with polished chrome and brush aluminum faceplates.
