Why would someone install Despard devices today?
Solution for narrow locations where you need to stack three devices in a narrow plate, replacement for previous low voltage system, convenience of being able to swap from toggle to outlet to pilot light using the same existing strap and switch plate.

Can 3 Despard outlets be installed in a 1 gang plate?
No. Despard plugs can only be installed in the 2 outer openings of the bracket. You cannot put a Despard plug in the center opening.

How do you secure a Despard device in the strap?
Hook the tab on the strap into the slot on the Despard plug then use a screwdriver to twist the tab on the other side of the outlet down into slot to lock it into the strap.
