Who started the Arts & Crafts style as seen on this design?
Kyle was very influenced by the Arts & Crafts (ACM) era which was initiated by William Morris who was inspired by the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood. This was a group of English writers and painters who aimed to reform art by rejecting the impersonal approach used by Raphael and Michelangelo. Together with friends, Morris founded a design company which produced furniture, wallpaper and stained glass for the home. Morris, Marshall, Faulkner & Co., employed ordinary materials and proportional forms which were the founding practices and beliefs of the Arts & Crafts ideology.
