Pushbutton Switchplates and Devices Explanation

The Pushbutton switch is a less common, generally older device with two 9/16" round buttons that are mounted vertically 1" apart center to center. On a pushbutton device, when one button is pushed in to make contact, the other button pops out. Switch plates for these devices are mounted directly onto device. Screw holes are set 2-3/8" apart. A separate two-button switch must be purchased for every gang on a pushbutton switch plate.
